The wild and remote Great Southern region of Western Australia is still writing its first chapter of vinous history and exploring vast untapped potential. The book on Burgundy stretches back over centuries, and its distinction is firmly established. Marchand & Burch unites these distant lands to create a new perspective on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Explore both collections below.
The heart of the Australian Collection is in the Great Southern, from the wild and remote Mount Barrow Vineyard. Planted by the Burch Family in 2005 the vineyard faces the formidable Southern Ocean, and its unique microclimate meets an ancient geology where gravel and granite combine to test the resilience of the maturing vines and which gives expression, character and distinct terroir to the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The French Collection brings wines from the great vineyards of the Côte d’Or and beyond to Australia. Since the first vintages from 2007 Pascal’s own holdings of vines in Burgundy have increased to include 8 hectares of Village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations. We are pleased to offer a lively Crémant de Bourgogne sparkling along with our range of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and could also not resist the allure of some old vine Gamay to make our Cru Beaujolais from Morgon.
